Oscar Amorrow was not only my friend and colleague, he was also my mentor. A brilliant advocate he oftentimes brainstormed with me on the most difficult immigration cases. He always had time for me even when he was busy and I was never turned away. Oscar was well respected by the immigration judges and thought of as one of the best advocates on behalf of immigrants. I am sure that his clients and his colleagues can attest to this fact.
I was privileged to visit with him when he was in the hospital, and spoke with him ever so briefly and was able to tell him how much I appreciated all he had done for me.
Oscar, the world is a dimmer place without you. I have read some of the memories and realize how much you have impacted many lives especailly in your native country of Cameroon. Well, I can say that your impact is certainly international because you have certainly impacted this Jamaican native.
I pray that the Eternal God through Jesus Christ our Saviour take you into his bosom for all eternity. May God grant the "peace that passeth all understanding" to your family and may God continue to provide in every way bringing comfort, friends, and happiness of the good memories of shared times with you.
Your friend and colleague
